How do I special order a custom made Mihaela item?
Mihaela does not need to live next door for you to enjoy her distinctive creations. She will begin by drawing a sketch of your piece and mail to you strands of yarn for your review. Once you choose your yarn, Mihaela can knit a "sample swatch" of the yarns to be used at your request. All this can be done by phone, mail, fax, and e-mail. We live in a changing world. Mihaela's abilitiy to fulfill orders all over the world is just a "click" away.

What makes Mihaela's blended yarns so special?
Mihaela is an artist. As an artist, she understands the dynamic of color and texture. When she blends her yarns, she blends many different colors, textures, and styles together.

How will Mihaela know the combination of colors I want for yarn?
Mihaela is an expert in combining texture and color of yarns together. So she may better understand the colors you like and the combination of colors you want, go to your local paint store to secure a few paint chip samples. Mail those to Mihaela so she has an idea of where to begin. From there, she will send a few strands back to you BEFORE she begins the blending process. Once you approve and your payment has been received, Mihaela will blend a combination of yarns that are exclusive for you.

Mihaela's Signature Balls of Yarn
Another unique product Mihaela offers, are balls of yarn made of 40 - 50 differnt yarns. Each strand of yarn is individually handsewn. When you begin to knit, the yarn unfolds into a beautiful piece of art. Again, send paint chips with your color pallet, and Mihaela will be able to design one unique for you. She will ship those all over the world!

I don't see a design listed that I like...are there others for sale?
Mihaela is always knitting to have samples of items to interest people. What is displayed on the website is a small sampling of what is available. Mihaela's studio is a custom shop so she will help you design whatever you want or she will personally make your own unique design.

What skill levels does Mihaela teach and are there particular needles I need to begin to knit?
All skill levels are welcome from beginners to seasoned knitters. Mihaela teaches the European way to knit. Needles are a personal preference. There are a variety of different kinds, sizes, and textures to use. Mihaela offers wooden needles for purchase. There are also special knitting needles for arthritic hands. If she doesn't have the needles you want, she will let you know where you might purchase them.

Does the size of the needle matter when designing my item?
Yes...the size of needles used to make afghans, sweaters, coats, etc., determines the "weight" and "texture" of the yarn you may choose.

Will I need a pattern before I begin to knit?
Mihaela can help you knit from a pattern you already own or she will help you design something unique for you. Mihaela creates and designs her own patterns so you are only limited by your imagination!

How do I pay for items I purchase or services performed?
Currently Mihaela only accepts money orders or checks. Payment is expected in advance of service and/or purchased items. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES.
